4-MONTH INTERNSHIP
(FIELD POSITION)
MISSISSAUGA OFFICE
We currently have an opening for a field intern to work out of our
Mississauga office, to begin in May of 2010 and continue for a 4-month term. The successful candidate will receive appropriate training in field procedures from senior staff and other qualified experts. Some out of town travel will be required. The duties for this 'Intern' position will include any or all of the following:
soil and groundwater sampling,
environmental monitoring of subsurface conditions,
equipment installation, monitoring and maintenance,
assisting project coordinators with site investigations and remediation programs (such as excavations and drilling projects),
maintenance of field documentation, and
entry and routine analysis of field and laboratory data.
opportunities to assist project managers with data analysis and report preparation.
Some travel is required, therefore a valid driver=s license and successful completion of a driver=s evaluation will be mandatory. Students will also be required to complete a medical examination, and authorize us to conduct random drug testing, a requirement of some of our clients. A background in civil, environmental or geological engineering, or similar programs would be a good fit for this position. If interested, please forward a resume and cover letter to
