O'Connor Associates Mississauga Office Gives Back

August 9, 2010

At O’Connor Associates, giving back to the communities, in which our offices are located is an important part of who we are as a company. The Mississauga office, for instance, has been reaching out to the Oakville community for years.

Kerr Street Ministries (KSM) is a wonderful charitable organization that comes to the aid of the less-fortunate of the Oakville community. Every year, over 5000 members of Oakville’s low income families are provided with free community programs that include: a food bank and drop-in; community meals; a Christmas program; kids programs; a computer program; children’s after-school programs; and, much more. Since 2007, the O’Connor Associates Mississauga office has been helping KMS with their community meals.

On May 27 and July 29, 2010, many staff of the Mississauga office provided, prepared and served a nutritious meal with smiling faces and warm hearts to over 120 hungry people. There was a warm glow in the dining hall as people ate, laughed and enjoyed time together.

Here is what Holly Losignore had to say:

“We all had a really great time, and feel that we accomplished something as a team and as a member of our community! It is an amazing feeling to be able to contribute to programs like community meals, that help so many people. I look forward to the next time we can all come back and contribute like this.”

“The Mississauga office has hosted meals at KMS since 2007, which has recently relocated to a wonderful new facility called The Dream Centre.

Here is what Oshin Gharabegian had to say:

“This experience really made me realize how important it is for people to help others who are less fortunate.”

“We hope all of the Mississauga staff members will experience the atmosphere of giving and fellowship as we provide community meals for years to come. We are proud to direct our determination and passion for hard work towards such a worthy cause.
